Sasha is the founder of ILIA, and her story begins in Vancouver where she grew up, in a rural and ocean environment, where she learned to be always close to nature and to count on it.

The reason for turning to natural and organic ingredients was her brother Jacques (and current professional partner), when at a young age she suffered from acute asthma and allergies and managed to be cured mainly through the diet of organic products. Then Sasha realized how much our body and skin are affected by the use of absolutely pure ingredients. In her later life she was involved in design and printing in London and New York, while in 2006 she was in Los Angeles and spent many years working in fashion and beauty. When she returned to Vancouver full of information and knowledge about natural beauty, she discovered the harmful ingredients from which her mother's lip balm was made. So that's where the challenge came from! She recreated her mother's favorite balm, but this time with safe, natural and effective ingredients.

That's how ILIA started giving us these fantastic makeup products. Products that we love because they are created for every skin type, with active ingredients that make the skin look and feel alive.
